Professor Hayashi Nominated as Vice-President of Hokkaido University

Professor Hayashi Tadayuki was nominated by Nakamura Mutsuo, President of Hokkaido University, as Executive and Vice-President of Hokkaido University in the period from April 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007. This was due to the transfer of the former Vice-President to another university with whom Professor Hayashi worked in the executive office for planning and management as an adviser to the executive for two years. There are five vice-presidents in Hokkaido University. Vice-President Hayashi is in charge of reorganization, personnel administration, gender equity, etc., the most important but troublesome duties.
