End-of-year special: ‘Borders do not Believe in Tears’

The Global COE program has been working with HBC (Hokkaido Broadcasting Corporation) to produce the ‘Unknown Borders’ series of DVDs, and using material from the ‘Karafuto and the Chishima Islands’, ‘Tsushima’ and ‘Yaeyama Islands and Taiwan’ DVD’s, HBC have produced a one hour year-end special. The program is broadcast from the Hokkaido University Museum and features Global COE project head Professor Akihiro Iwashita presenting alongside Sasaki Yuka. We at the Global COE would like to express our appreciation to Ms. Sasaki for her efforts on our behalf.
