Conclusion to the joint seminar held with the Oriental Institute, Poland

On September 2nd, 2011, in Warsaw, the ¡ÈInvestigating Eurasian Border Regions¡É seminar was held with the support of the Japan Foundation. As well as GCOE Project Head, Professor Iwashita, explaining what is being undertaken here at the Slavic Research Center, presentations were given by Messrs Itani, Fujimori and Fukuda.

A number of questions emerged, with those to Itani, perhaps reflecting Poland¡Çs geographical position to the west of the former Soviet region, asked from a comparative perspective, while those to Fujimori and Fukuda sought to clarify certain empirical details.
