Results of Selection Process for GCOE Travel Grant

We are pleased to announce the following results of the selection process for the GCOE travel grants for post-graduate fellows to present their works at an international conference. The two successful candidates are as follows:
Yuki Sato (Research Assistant, Waseda Univ.)
"The Unawareness of Residing on the Borderline: A Case Study on the Ogasawara Islands"
Yuka Mizutani (Post Doctoral Researcher, Hokkaido Univ.)
"Media on the U.S.-Mexican Border: How Newspapers Described the Yaqui People"
The two papers have been accepted for the 2010 Annual Conference of the Association of Borderlands Studies (ABS) held in conjunction with the Western Social Sciences Association (WSSA) which will be hosted in Reno, Nevada from April 14th to April 17th, 2010. http://www.absborderlands.org/2annualmeetings.html
