The very first GCOE international Symposium "Bringing Together the Worldwide Community of Border Studies" was held at the Slavic Research Centre on Dec. 19th. Approximately 70 people including scholars, practitioners, journalists and citizens attended the meeting to discuss the current trends in border studies and the theme of "border and identity."
